Sources & editorial standards
We use established wine-education references and official regional organizations, then write original explanations for everyday readers.
What a profile represents
Each profile describes typical patterns, not every bottle. Grape variety, place, harvest year, farming, fermentation, maturation, storage, and serving temperature can change aroma, structure, and flavor.
We avoid pretending subjective tasting notes are objective ingredients. When a wine is described as “cherry” or “cedar,” those are sensory comparisons.
Corrections
Regional rules and classifications can change. We review major factual claims and link to primary sources when readers may want current detail.
